Quality Management
The activities of the quality management department include the areas of quality assurance, quality control and independent nuclear safety assessment. The safe operation of a nuclear facility relies on the systematic organization of quality management. We provide various services in quality assurance and control through support on the processes of electrical equipment maintenance and modifications, for the nuclear facility on site, but also for the third-party nuclear service providers and according to current world standards (US 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, IAEA GSR Part 2, GS-G -3.1 and GS-G-3.5). Services are performed for activities on the primary and secondary side of the power plant and according to defined procedures, instructions and / or control procedures, with an emphasis on the operation and maintenance best practice implementation and with special focus on the quality of work activities.
ENCONET scope of services includes:
- Preparation of Quality Assurance (QA) programs and procedures
- On-site Quality Control (QC)
- Quality control of primary and secondary equipment of a nuclear power plant – high voltage and low voltage electric motors, switches, motor operated valves actuators, electrical panels and switch cabinets, inverters, generator, exciter, transformers, bearings, use of measuring tools (length gauges, electrical measurements)
- QA Audits
- Support for procurement of equipment and spare parts
- Description of design and technical solutions for nuclear plant systems
- Consolidation of supplier (vendor) equipment manuals
- Maintenance and development of configuration control databases and quality records modules
- Preparation of equipment procurement specifications
- QA review of Design Modification Packages and Installation Packages
- Analysis of other nuclear power plants and industry operational experiences reports published by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (US NRC), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Westinghouse, INPO, WANO and other relevant institutions, and evaluation of the applicability of these reports to NPP Krško
